The DAO provides continuing education for its members and public education for citizens in the area. The Academy strives to accumulate and disseminate knowledge and experiences pertaining to new ophthalmic methods, techniques, and devices throughout the greater North Texas medical community.

General Meeting Thur. March 25
The speaker is Dr. Lawrence Morse, MD, PhD, from the University of California at Davis. 
The meeting will be held at the AW Harris Faculty Alumni Center (the Faculty Club) on the 4th Floor of the E-building, South (main) Campus, UT Southwestern Medical Center, 5323 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, TX 75390.   Cocktails will be served at 5:30 and dinner will follow at 6:30. The presentation will immediately follow dinner. The presentation topic is "Diet and Retinal Disease".
